Let’s talk about the best locations where a wildlife artist can get the maximum inspiration. The Amazon Basin, Brazil: There is no doubt in that the wildlife photography lovers have been long planning to explore the amazons and its vivid wildlife. This region has been known to as the Amazonian or the Amazon Jungle. This jungle is home to 427 mammals which include jaguar, sloth, and river dolphin, 1300 birds which include macaw and 378 reptiles including anaconda and Jesus lizard. Here you can find some of the rarest of species which make its all suitable for that perfect clicks. Another interesting wildlife found here are the turtles where they will seek refuge on a further inland etc. So, don’t miss your chance to visit this amazing amazon.

India: The diverse habitats of Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh, composed of grasslands, forests and bamboo bush, are home to around 100 of India’s tigers. You’ll spend most of your time out on safari, so the holidays can be pretty full on. Naturalist guides here have led internationally renowned photographers, so you’re in good company. Kanha can be easily combined with Keoladeo National Park for bird watching, too.

I hope to be able to produce at least 24 paintings in 24 hours and all of the originals produced during the 24 hours will be given to the highest donators who have donated more than £30, with the most generous donator getting first choice and so on. My theme for the event is African wildlife and as many of you know, I do love to paint big cats, so there will be some big cats in the originals produced on the day. You can follow me live as I complete my paintathon challenge as I will be doing live video feeds via facebook and Instagram throughout the 24 hours and posting regularly on both with updates on my progress Facebook @Vanessa.Grundy.Artist Instagram @vlgstudios. And of course, you can follow my progress and find out more on here. Read even more details on Wildlife Artwork.

I believe transparency is super important with my customers, and so I will soon be setting up a new page on my website illustrating the causes that we will be supporting including the total amount of donations that have been made through product purchases by customers! Between now and the 10th of January, all profits from sales made on my website will be donated to the emergency fund at WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) which is being used to help rescue sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife affected by the ongoing bushfires.

?In my artwork, I try to focus on capturing the expressions or emotions of an individual. My new course is both fascinating and enlightening, as it has enabled me to develop a deeper understanding of the animals I love to paint and draw. Giraffes are highly sociable and very interested in what we are up to, especially when it involves food! Over the past seven years, I have exhibited my work and entered into recognised competitions within the UK. See more details at https://www.vlgstudios.com/.
