Transformative coaching tips

Transformative teaching training… A coach won’t just help you incorporate self-help tips into your life but hold you accountable for the action plan you’ve collaborated on with the goal of keeping you on a path to change. Transformation often inspires doubt, but with your motivational coach by your side cheering you on, you can overcome those speed bumps and keep your growth momentum going.

As coaches, we don’t tell clients what to do. We stand beside them, and to the best of our ability, we see how the world looks to them, through their eyes. It takes curiosity and fascination, because coaches relinquish their own assessments and judgments about what is right and true for their clients. They only hold the question: “how is this working for you in regard to you having what you say you want?” We listen for and witness how our clients shape their lives. It may look different than how we would live our clients’ lives, but we haven’t walked in their shoes. All we can do is trust that they have done the best possible job to live their lives, given the tools handed to them by their culture and their environment. As coaches, we trust that the individual made his decision based on what made the most sense at the time. Now, through coaching, these clients have an opportunity to reveal some of those decisions that may have worked in the past but are no longer useful. They have the opportunity to choose a new decision. They are prepared to step into a relationship with themselves that will empower them to think and act differently, ways that will generate fulfillment, fun, and effortless living.

Transformational coaching now, and in the future, is being shaped by what’s gone before. Coaching, per se, still has a relatively young history. However, already we’re waving goodbye to some of the more dinosaur methods of old. Instead, coaching is becoming an increasingly professional endeavour, as it really should. We’re not there yet. There are still lessons to be learned, and changes to be made to transformational coaching itself. The shift is happening, however, and transformational coaching will in time come to simply be ‘coaching’ itself, with all other types falling under its umbrella. Explore industry associations. The Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC) is one of the first professional coaching associations exclusively dedicated to business coaching. Membership is selective and based upon eligibility requirements and high standards of ethics, integrity, and professional responsibility.
